Meet Ashley Grier, MA, LCPC
Ashley Grier is a licensed mental health therapist (LCPC) who discovered her passion for helping others during her teenage years. As a mental health therapist, she helps children, teens, and adults overcome problems like depression, grief, bullying, low self-esteem, trauma, sexual abuse, and anxiety to improve their overall health and quality of life. She also provides clinically tested and evidence-based interventions to couples as a relationship expert.
It is her belief that the client and counselor must address any underlying core issues related to the client’s presenting problem in order for the client to truly benefit from counseling. Clients are given a disservice when their core underlying issues are not addressed within the safe environment of a healthy therapeutic relationship. Life experiences resulting in trauma and painful memories tend to inflict wounds that take years to heal. Mental health is very similar to physical health; there is a healing process for emotional pain and non-visible wounds.
Over the past decade, Ashley has worked in the private, non-profit, faith-based, and public sectors developing community outreach and development programs and initiatives to provide awareness, education, and training on issues impacting community members such as mental health, domestic violence, socioeconomic equality, human trafficking, and teen empowerment.
In addition to her role as a mental health clinician, Ashley is a sought-after speaker for conferences, keynote addresses, and motivational events. Her passion for mental health and wellness, accompanied by her ability to communicate with and connect with audiences of diverse backgrounds and ages, sets her apart from others and amplifies the impact and influence of her message.
Ashley has studied at Liberty University, Bethel Seminary, and Capital Seminary and Graduate School. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and practices in the state of Maryland.
In addition to her work as a therapist, Ashley is also an entrepreneur dedicated to carrying out her mission to help others thrive mentally, emotionally, and relationally. Ashley is the founder of Soul Prosper Counseling, an innovative mental health practice devoted to helping individuals embark on their journey toward wholeness and completeness.
